Hi

With my patient husband of nearly 41 years.
I have 2 grown up Boys and 4 lovely grandsons and 1 chatterbox of a grandaughter another grandaughter that was born in September and from her lungs I think she could be a chatterbox as well as she gets older lol

I have always done some sort of craft and up until about 14 years ago when I saw a craft shop full of stamps and that was the beginning of my card making.

I loved stamping but then found CD's so changed to Decoupage which I loved and still do but that lead me into Digi's and coloring with a lot of help from my sister(Jane Tillsley) I really enjoy it. I started with Promarkers then I got into Spectrum Noir then I have just started to use there pencils.

That's all from me at the moment

Hugs

Meet Annette - Our new design team member

Good morning and welcome to Besties UK ... Today we would like to introduce a new member of our design team Annette .... Please give her a very warm welcome ... xx

Hello Friends,

I am over the moon to have been newly appointed recently to the Design Team for My Besties UK and I am honoured to have been approached to join in this challenge today to introduce myself as their Guest DT.

My name is Annette Stapylton, I live in Nowra on the South Coast in NSW Australia which is located approx 2+1/2 hours from Sydney where I reside with my husband of 40 years and my two little Dogs Zjarie and Missie.

I have been Scrapping on and off just as a hobby for over 10 years but have been more serious with my scrapping since retiring due to illness from my Curtain/Interior Design Business 4 Years ago.
I love to be creative and most of all, I like my work to be different.  My forte is definitely designing and making cards and I love entering as many challenges as I possibly can.

I had been making cards and entering into a number of challenges when I was approached by a friend to make up a Besties Card and enter it into a Besties Challenge. At first I was not interested and did not bother but my dear friend kept approaching me, so in the end I decided to make up a Besties Card and entered the Challenge and much to my surprise it won. From then on I have been totally hooked on Besties, I can say Besties changed my life. I have included this card today which is the first card listed. I coloured her with Copics and did 3 Layers for 3D and just kept it very simple as the challenge theme was "Keep It Simple".

From that day onwards I have never looked back and today I am now DT for My Besties 3D Decoupage Australia, My Besties International USA, Funky Flairs Australia, Scrap Book Blessings Club USA and I am the Creator and Owner of Meet at the Scrappers Corner where I run a monthly Challenge for My Besties, I am DT Leader along with 6 wonderfully talented DT Ladies Angela, Antoinette, Eleonora, Debbie, Jane and Sue who work alongside of me.

Thank you for taking the time to read my short Bio here today ~ I look forward to working alongside the talented UK  Design Team and I would love for you to visit my Blog and view some of my Projects I have created both for Challenges and for DT assignments.

Hereunder are some of my favourite creations I would like to share with you all.

Cheers and have a great day,

Annette

Antoinette - Our New Design Team Member from the United States... State of Texas

Good Morning and welcome to Besties UK ... today we have a visitor from the United Sates of America we are so lucky to host the beautiful creations of the Besties Design team members ... please give a very warm welcome to Antionette ....

Hello Everyone,

I am Antoinette Tristan born and raised in the United States in the State of Texas.

I have known I love arts and crafts since I was a little girl. I found myself creating with paper Mache making brooches and even selling them to friends when I was a young teen to gather money to buy my Junior High Band shirt with my long name on it.

I was also blessed to have my Grandmother teach me how to embroider which I still love to do and hope to teach my 15 year old Grand Daughter. I went through a period of painting ceramics and even had requests from people who paid me to paint special items. I even got into making hook loop rugs to frame and hang on walls. I even made a hook loop Christmas stocking for my one only Son which I still stuff with goodies and he is now 37 years old.

And since I am talking about children…I cannot leave out I make my Furbaby a mini-piebald dachshund, Ms. Pepper her blinged out collar necklaces. I must say growing up and into adulthood I mostly loved to color in coloring books...who would have ever thought I would be coloring Stamps and Digital images as an older adult.

I guess I was getting practice. I had seen stamps at the craft store but they never really caught my attention until I was introduced to the cyber world of Facebook and Blog Land. I started blog hopping and meeting all kinds of amazing crafters from all over the World showcasing all there fabulous talents and creativity.

So I worked hard on creating my own Blog in 2012 and joined the Crafting world. I love my new journey making new friends from all around the world. It is amazingly fun…learning and sharing never-ending tips, techniques and new ideas. I want to “Thank you” for letting me share my fun of creating with My Besties by the talented Artist Sherri Baldy. I hope I inspired you.

Antoinette
